Is this service for you?

If any of these apply, a licensing consult will save you weeks of confusion.

Your situation

Opening a new RCFE in California
Buying an existing facility (change of ownership)
Expanding, selling, or transferring a facility
Not 100% sure what is required vs. optional

What usually goes wrong

Unclear requirements: collecting the wrong documents wastes weeks
Documentation rework: policies that do not meet state expectations get sent back, adding months
Fire clearance timing: mistiming it can stall the entire application
That is exactly why we exist. We have compiled thousands of applications and know what the state expects before you submit.

Three steps. Clear handoff.

We do the heavy lifting. You stay focused on your facility.

RCFE Licensing FAQs
Short answers to the most common questions.
How long does RCFE licensing take?
The state application process takes roughly 4 to 6 months. After mailing, an analyst typically acknowledges receipt within 1 to 3 months, then sends a corrections letter. Once corrections are submitted, the analyst schedules Component 2 (a phone interview), then Component 3 (an in-person interview at your facility). Timelines vary depending on your readiness and how quickly documentation is completed.
Do you also help with ARF licensing?
Yes. We process RCFE, ARF, and ALW applications. This page focuses on RCFE.
Can you do ALW at the same time?
Yes. We can concurrently apply for your ALW application during the same time we compile your RCFE application, so you do not lose time.
What does "we compile the full application" mean?
We gather, organize, and format every document the state requires. We build the complete packet. You review it, sign it, and mail it. If corrections are needed from the state, we assist you with them within a 72-hour turnaround. This covers paper application work only. Physical facility items like layout corrections and fire clearance are not part of our scope.
How much does RCFE licensing cost?
Our RCFE Licensing Package is $2,500, a one-time flat fee. That covers the full application, document checklist, corrections assistance, and direct access to Kamil. No hidden fees and no hourly billing.
Are state filing fees included?
No. The $990 state filing fee is paid separately to Community Care Licensing Division when you mail your application. This is the standard DSS application fee and is not part of our package.
Do you communicate with the state on our behalf?
No. Once your application is mailed, you will be in direct contact with your assigned analyst for updates or next steps. We help supply documents and corrections as needed throughout the process, but you own the relationship with the state.
Is this legal advice?
No. We provide operational and administrative guidance. For legal questions, we will point you to the appropriate professional.
